| Job Summary | We are seeking a Cloud Performance Architect to collaborate with technology teams firm-wide, driving the development of high-performance cloud solutions tailored for trading and analytical workloads. As a key member of the Cloud Architecture and Technology Services team, your primary mission is to fine-tune operating systems and cloud-based logical infrastructure to achieve optimal compute performance and network latency characteristics for relevant workloads. We are looking for individuals with a Bachelor’s degree (post-graduate education in computer science preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Proficiency in designing high-throughput and low-latency cloud network architectures is essential, as is a deep understanding of optimizations available for AWS's VPC network. Your expertise should extend to Linux kernel bypass techniques, DMA, the DPDK, and a comprehensive knowledge of the Nitro hypervisor with relevant tuning techniques. Experience optimizing systems in a Kubernetes environment is a significant asset. You should have a proven track record in large-scale cloud deployments, encompassing both stateless and stateful services, with a strong commitment to implementing systems with a security-first mindset while adhering to firm-wide security policies and best practice implementations. Thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, you must exhibit a strong work ethic, initiative, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues sensibly in times of stress. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with effective documentation and knowledge management capabilities, round out the ideal profile for this role. Join us in shaping the future of high-performance cloud solutions as a Cloud Performance Architect. |
