| Job Summary | We are looking for a talented FPGA Software Engineer to join one of our trading teams. In this role, you'll have a unique opportunity to build FPGA applications entirely from the ground up, focusing on low latency and high throughput designs.
Your responsibilities will include architecting and implementing new FPGA applications, encompassing tasks like synthesis, place & route, static timing analysis, and documentation. You will facilitate software integration by developing new APIs and optimizing low-level code, addressing hardware and software limitations creatively. Collaboration with software and other design teams is a key aspect of this role.
To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Solid expertise in C++ is essential, along with a deep understanding of FPGA hardware engineering, RTL logic design using Verilog and System Verilog, and familiarity with FPGA design flow. Knowledge of UNIX operating systems, multi-threaded programming, and the TCP/IP stack is highly beneficial.
Experience with system-on-chip (SOC) architectures, memory, networking, and high-level verification methodologies like System Verilog is a plus. Strong debugging, data analysis, and scripting skills, especially in Python, are desired.
