| Job Summary | We are a globally renowned Alternative Asset Manager with a widespread presence, including trading offices, Datacentres, and Colocation facilities across the world. In our London office, we are seeking an Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic App Support team. Reporting to the Head of Technology, you'll play a crucial role in supporting systems and applications across various areas, from Trade Capture to Middle and Back Office operations, Static and Market data capture and distribution, to Risk and PnL. We are looking for a self-starter with strong technical and interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn both business and technical aspects, and the potential to take on additional responsibilities. Your role will involve handling user System and Application queries and issues, collaborating with traders and middle office teams across multiple asset classes, and ensuring timely issue resolution and communication. You will also work closely with development teams to communicate user requirements and improve platform supportability. While supporting a varied and dynamic environment, you'll gain experience in a hedge fund or investment bank setting, making use of your SQL Server and SQL knowledge, .NET and/or Java skills, and fault diagnosis and problem-solving abilities. Market and Static data knowledge, the desire to acquire new skills and knowledge, Control-m experience, and familiarity with Bloomberg are highly desirable. This role may require staggered shifts to cover global trading times and occasional weekend work, offering a great opportunity to enhance both technical and business skills through hands-on experience and training. |
