| Job Summary | We are seeking a Database Development Specialist to join our operations team, providing essential support to middle and back office application teams for their database needs. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large and complex database systems using technologies such as Oracle, Informatica, Hadoop, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience in database administration and support as well. As a member of this team, your key responsibilities include designing, developing, and supporting database applications for our middle and back office data systems, with a focus on solutions utilizing Oracle and PL/SQL technologies. Additionally, you will maintain and support Oracle database instances and applications within a high-transaction environment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. In certain cases, you may be required to provide production support during off-hours and weekends. To qualify, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in database development. Hands-on experience building solutions in relational databases like Oracle, proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database tuning, as well as knowledge of Korn shell scripting and programming are essential. Experience with Informatica and/or Hadoop would be advantageous, and Oracle DBA experience is a plus.
